For Homeowners Renovating in South Florida

Your home deserves more than a kitchen.
It deserves a room that defines the house.

Pedini by Daruso · Miami
The kitchen is not a collection of cabinets. It is the spatial and emotional center of a home.

Pedini by Daruso is a second-generation family firm in Miami and the exclusive South Florida representative of Pedini, the Italian cabinetry house. For twenty-five years we have designed, specified, and installed complete interiors, kitchens, wardrobes, and wall systems, for residences from Coral Gables to the beach towers. One family, accountable for every stage.

Whether you are renovating a house you have lived in for years or a condominium you have just closed on, the construction months ahead will decide how the residence feels for decades. This is the moment to resolve the millwork, the kitchen, the wardrobes, the walls that hold a room together, as architecture rather than as furniture.

What We Make

Bespoke Italian interior systems. Designed with our family, manufactured at the Pedini facility in Italy, installed by our own team.

Kitchens, wardrobes, living millwork. One architectural language.

01 · Kitchens

The center of the plan

Italian systems tailored to the way your household actually cooks, gathers, and begins its mornings. Appliances disappear; proportion and material remain.

02 · Wardrobes

A private sanctuary

Walk-in rooms and closet walls composed like the rest of the residence, with lighting and hardware measured to what you own.

03 · Living Millwork

Walls, media, built-ins

Wall systems, libraries, bars, and vanities that carry one rhythm from the entry to the last room. This is what makes a renovation read as architecture.

04
Renovating a House or a Condominium

The renovation window is short.
What you decide in it lasts.

Millwork has the longest lead time in a luxury renovation, and it is the first thing your contractor will ask about. Whether your architect is still drawing or demolition is already underway, we join at the stage your project is in and resolve the cabinetry before it can slow anything else.

In a private house, that means one schedule, shared with your general contractor from demolition to installation. In a condominium it also means board approvals, insurance certificates, elevator reservations, and service corridors: we have delivered into South Florida's towers for twenty-five years and plan each installation around the building's rules.

05
How a Project Unfolds

Seven stages,
one accountable family.

01

Discovery Consultation

A conversation about the residence, how you live, and what the renovation should resolve. At a showroom, at your home, or over your architect's plans.

02

Spatial Analysis & Design Brief

We measure, study the plan, and write the brief that will govern every drawing that follows.

03

Design Development

Plans, elevations, and 3D renderings of your rooms, revised with you until the design is right.

04

Material Selection & Specification

Woods, lacquers, stone, and hardware chosen in person at the showroom. The final specification is sent to Italy.

05

Production in Italy

Your millwork is manufactured at the Pedini facility, with quality control and a pre-shipment inspection before it crosses the Atlantic.

06

Delivery & Installation

Coordinated with your general contractor and your building. Installation is performed and supervised by our own team, never subcontracted.

07

Completion Walkthrough & Aftercare

We walk the finished rooms with you, adjust what needs adjusting, and remain reachable for the life of the installation. Every project is covered by a ten-year warranty.

Case Study · Coral Gables

A homeowner renovation, from the first conversation to the completion walkthrough. Heckaman Residence, with interiors by SV Design.

A kitchen designed around the way the homeowner imagined living.

Heckaman Residence · Coral Gables, Florida

Modern transitional kitchen and custom bar, manufactured in Fano, Italy

The homeowner arrived with a clear vision: a modern transitional kitchen that felt warm and personal, built to Italian standards of craft and precision. Working alongside her interior designer, SV Design, our team joined at the first conversation, and finishes were mixed and matched across samples until the balance of oxidized metal lacquer and natural warmth felt inevitable.

From design and manufacturing in Fano, Italy, through project management and installation in Coral Gables, one team was present at every stage. The result is a kitchen and custom bar that carry the same material language throughout, designed in cohesion with the architecture of the entire home.

"Seeing my vision of my dream kitchen come to life is all I ever wanted. I am so grateful to have worked with a team that understood my needs and executed."

Before You Ask

Anything unanswered here belongs in a conversation. Schedule one, or call either showroom.

The questions every renovation raises.

How long does a custom millwork project take?+

Every project runs on its own schedule, set by its scope, its materials, and the factory's production calendar. Millwork carries the longest lead time in a luxury renovation, so we join early, plan the schedule with your contractor, and update it as the factory confirms production and shipment. Starting early is what keeps millwork off your renovation's critical path.

We are mid-renovation. Is it too late to bring you in?+

No. The easiest moment is before demolition, but we join projects at every stage, and cabinetry decisions usually stay open well into construction. If the millwork has not been ordered, there is time. Bring your drawings and your contractor's schedule to the first conversation and we will tell you plainly what is still possible.

We already have an architect or interior designer. Do you work with them?+

Good. Most of our projects arrive through one. We work as a trade partner: shop drawings, 3D coordination, and a flexible specification process that serves their design rather than competing with it. Our trade program for architects and interior designers is open for applications.

What does a project cost?+

Every project is priced from its own scope, materials, and site conditions, so an honest number requires a conversation about yours. After a first consultation you receive a written proposal with a clear cost. If you want context sooner, request the pricing guide for ranges from recent work.

Can you work inside a condominium's rules?+

Yes. Board approvals, certificates of insurance, freight elevator reservations, protected corridors, and working-hours limits are part of nearly every project we deliver. We plan the installation around your building's requirements and coordinate directly with management.

Where is the millwork actually made?+

At the Pedini facility in Italy, where it has been made for decades. Your specification is produced there, inspected before shipment, and installed here by our own team.

Is the millwork under warranty?+

Yes. Every installation is backed by a ten-year warranty. Because the same firm designs, installs, and services the work, the warranty is honored by the people who put it in, not routed through a dealer network.

What happens after installation?+

A completion walkthrough with you, adjustments where the walkthrough finds them, and aftercare for as long as you own the home, with the millwork under its ten-year warranty. You will have the owners' direct contact, not a service queue.
