The Position
A trade partner who understands that the millwork is the architecture.

Pedini by Daruso is a family owned Italian millwork consultancy and the exclusive South Florida representative of Pedini, the Italian cabinetry house. We work with the trade the way we work on a building: from documents. Your drawings lead, ours coordinate with them, the factory in Italy executes them, and our own people install what was drawn.

The trade program is the formal shape of that relationship: a vetted circle of architects and interior designers who specify with us, protected and supported as peers. Membership is reviewed by the family, and the review looks at the work, not the size of the firm.

03
What We Make

Bespoke Italian interior systems, designed in Miami and manufactured at the Pedini facility in Italy, where Pedini has made kitchens since 1957.

Kitchens, living solutions, wardrobes. One architectural language.

01 · Kitchens

The center of the plan

Complete Italian kitchen systems, from the island to the integrated appliance wall, engineered to your drawings and your client's brief.

02 · Living Solutions

Walls, media, built-ins

Wall systems, libraries, bars, and vanities that carry one rhythm through the residence. The scope that makes a project read as architecture.

03 · Wardrobes & Closets

A private sanctuary

Walk-in rooms and closet walls composed like the rest of the residence, with lighting and hardware measured to what the client owns.

The working showroom: material selection and specification for partners and their clients, with the full finish, veneer, and hardware library at hand.

Showroom · 02

Miami Design District

The brand within Miami's design and architecture community, steps from the studios and galleries the trade already keeps.

04
What Membership Means

Three commitments, each already true of how the practice works, extended to partners as a standing arrangement.

Protection, access, and support. In that order.

01 · Protection

The drawings, and the relationship

Shop drawings coordinated to your documents before release to the factory. Registered projects recognized as yours, confirmed in writing.

02 · Access

A family answers

David Rousso Jr. is the direct contact for every partner. Questions about a quote, a lead time, or a detail go to him, not to a queue.

03 · Support

The studio works for your presentation

Plans, elevations, and 3D renderings under your project. The material library at both showrooms, with samples loaned for client meetings.

05
Project Registration

Introduce a client with confidence.
The introduction stays yours.

Every designer knows the fear: the client you bring to a showroom returns alone the following week, and the introduction earns nothing. Project registration removes it. Register a client project and we confirm it in writing; the introduction is recognized as yours from that moment.

If your client later visits or calls independently, you are told, and it changes nothing about your position on the project. That is the family's word, put in writing.

06
How a Partner Project Runs

Seven stages,
with your place in them.

01

Discovery Consultation

You introduce the project, and the conversation runs designer to designer: at a showroom, at the site, or over your plans.

02

Spatial Analysis & Design Brief

Your plans and intent set the brief that governs every drawing that follows.

03

Design Development

Plans, elevations, and 3D renderings, produced for your client presentation and revised with you.

04

Material Selection & Specification

Selections at the showroom with you and your client. The final specification is sent to Italy.

05

Production in Italy

Manufactured at the Pedini facility with quality control and a pre-shipment inspection. Lead times reported as the factory gives them.

06

Delivery & Installation

Coordinated with your contractor and the building. Installation is performed and supervised by our own team, never subcontracted.

07

Completion Walkthrough & Aftercare

Signed off with you. Completed projects are photographed to the brand standard, with files shared for your portfolio.

The Practice Behind the Program

A deeply personal process, led by our family for yours.

David Rousso Sr. founded the firm in Miami twenty-five years ago. His son David joined him six years ago, and Michelle Rousso has since made it three. When your client works with us, the people across the table are the owners, and they stay with the project from the first meeting to the completion walkthrough.

Every specification is manufactured at the Pedini facility in Italy's Marche region, where Pedini has made kitchens since 1957. Installation is carried out by our own team. Nothing is subcontracted, so nothing is lost between your drawings and the finished room.

Before You Ask

Anything unanswered here belongs in a conversation at the showroom. Apply, or write to us directly.

The questions the trade asks first.

Who qualifies for the trade program?+

Architects and interior designers with an active practice and built residential work. Membership is reviewed by the family, and the review looks at the work, not the size of the firm: a sole practitioner with strong projects qualifies as readily as a large studio. AIA, ASID, IIDA, or NKBA membership is welcome and not required.

How does enrollment work?+

Five steps: a short application, a working conversation at the Coral Gables or Miami Design District showroom, an agreement settled personally with the family, a welcome to the trade list, and your first registered project. Every application receives a personal reply.

How does project registration protect my client relationship?+

When you register a client project, the registration is confirmed in writing and the introduction is recognized as yours. If your client later visits a showroom independently, you are told, and it changes nothing about your position on the project.

How does coordination with my drawings work?+

Shop drawings are coordinated with your documents before anything is released to the factory in Italy, and your design intent is the reference through production, delivery, and installation. Plans, elevations, and 3D renderings are produced for your own client presentation, under your project.

Where is the millwork made?+

At the Pedini facility in Lucrezia di Cartoceto, in Italy's Marche region, where Pedini has manufactured kitchens since 1957. Every specification is produced and inspected there before shipment, and installation in South Florida is supervised by our own personnel, never subcontracted.

What are the program's terms?+

Partnership terms are discussed personally, at the showroom, and structured to each practice and each project. Enrollment begins with a conversation, not a rate card.
